Our Story
Jollof Events was founded by Muctarr Jallow in Serekunda, The Gambia.
From a very young age, Muctarr has been a passionate event planner. He often helps friends and family members organize their events. Additionally, most of his extracurricular activities at school were centered around events.
In 2018, while at university, he started an event planning business called City Events. The name of the company was later changed to Jollof Events because Muctarr wanted a name that is more relatable to his society.
He started the business from his bedroom with a D5,000 ($100) loan from his brother. Jollof is now one of the leading event planning companies in The Gambia, and it aims to expand throughout Africa.
